Sarah Konrad
- Became the first U.S. female Winter Olympian to qualify in two sports for one Olympic Winter Games in 2006 (biathlon and cross country)
- 2006 U.S. national champion in 10K Pursuit
- Currently the fastest woman skier in the U.S. using the skating technique, a freestyle motion similar to ice- or roller-skating
- Claimed her first national title in 2004 when she won the 30K freestyle race in Nordic skiing
- Earned silver in the 5K at the 2003 National Championships
- Claimed her spot on the 2005 World National team
- Placed fifth in Nordic U.S. Nationals, 1999
- Currently the fastest woman skier in the U.S. using the skating technique
- Earned a Ph.D. in glaciology
- Taught for 9 years at NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) in Wyoming
"In every sport there is a lot to learn. There might be the whole added issue of shooting here, but there is technique and strategy in cycling, also. Additionally, even though I come from a skiing background and had some success, this is my first formal coaching in skiing. So I am trying to work on that as well and be patient."
